About James

My greatest interest in life is in helping people to free themselves. I hate seeing people unhappy or suffering unnecessarily and consequently, I’ve always had a strong desire to help people feel good.


This led me many years ago to studying psychology at degree level. However, traditional psychology can be very theoretical and I wanted the practical skills to help people make changes. Therefore I went on to take qualifications in Hypnotherapy, NLP, Life Coaching and other useful applications. In essence, this means I can facilitate someone in making changes at the all important UNCONSCIOUS level of their mind.


I now have more than 15 years of experience working with clients to make all sorts of changes. Unquestionably, it keeps me on my toes and I’m always studying and making improvements in my approach. I was in London for 10 years until my clinic was closed due to the struggles of the pandemic. However, as you know, I now offer hypnotherapy in Milton Keynes and my fantastic clinic is in a great, central location, in Shenley Church End. I’m committed to being the best that I can be and helping people to the best of my abilities.

I can’t take over your mind and control it, I can only facilitate your mind. YOU are in control and everything we apply together is in your control and with your permission. We would never do anything that could harm you. It’s all positive work with a respectful, gentle approach. 

No, it’s a guided, but co-operative process. See me like a gym instructor for your mind. I can guide you, support you and show you what to do, but you must then follow the instructions. Therefore, it’s so important that you understand that we apply everything together. It’s your brain and only you have the controls to it. In order to get the results you want, you will have to co-operate and be up for it! If you realise it’s you changing yourself and you’re receptive to my support, then we will make a great team and you’ll do well. 

I will listen to you and understand what is going on and what you want to change. Then, I will guide you to be clear on what you’d like to experience instead. This then sets us up to work with your mind and make the changes wanted. We do this by applying techniques which start to shift and loosen the way the old problem patterns were activated and change them at that level. Once those patterns don’t automatically happen anymore, then we start to rehearse in new alternative perceptions, feelings and behaviours. Your brain is flexible and changeable, it’s just a matter of conditioning in the right ways. Hypnosis is a state which allows us to then consolidate changes and have your mind become very receptive. This allows the changes to occur faster and more assuredly.    

Essentially, anything with a goal attached to it. In other words, if we’re clear on how you want to behave, respond and feel in a certain situation, then we can focus in on that. Your goal might be to stop smoking, reduce weight or feel more motivated for exercise. It might be to eliminate a fear or phobia or to get back to feeling calm and clear and motivated for something specific to you. The best starting point is always for us to have a conversation.
